Here in Bristol a woman A. met has asked us to come clear her workplace. The building was at one time a Victorian workhouse and later, a psychiatric ward. The whole staff says the energy there is dark and difficult. We are stilll thinking about this ---- when I've done this kind of clearing before in my life, I didn't plan it, it just happened, so doing it deliberately seems like a whole new ballgame to me.
What this relates to is that one of the main IT guys at Abu Ghraib, who didn't work in the main prison area but who visited it several times, said that it had dark, psychotic energy from the beginning (torture, murder under Saddam happened there frequently).He compared it to the "Outlook Hotel" in a Stephen King Novel. (in fact, he said the execution room was a "tourist" attractin for visiting poiticians and military brass).(my source for this info. is a recent article in The Guardian) So, the Americans went in there and unleashed there own demons...
This is not what I meant when I said that sometimes Americans strike me as playful puppies.

is the the usa in our fear and loathing what we have dreamed it to be? it's all on the front covers instead of under cover. now is the time to dream the usa we would love it to be even if it is still big and sometimes ugly and in our face it is a place of creativity, diversity and not bound to the past, it is often a place of amazing friendliness and big-heartedness, it is a curious puppy who pisses everywhere but is lovingly playful. It is our neighbour everywhere. What else---whatever love and cherishing you can bring to lift our sisters and brothers from self-alien nation.

London--- full of faces with character but so far i see few enlightened ones nonetheless the angels of trafalgar square are felt everywhere here
